Naspers leads biggest VC funding round

They are hoping for another Tencent, and besides India is the second biggest country so the possibilities are there.
 
Naspers/MIH. Making Rocket Internet look like amateurs.
They are one of the most impressive VC/internet firms on earth at the moment

Ummm no, Tencent and Flipkart service two completely different types of market (and I'm not referencing China/India)

Given that FlipKart is on of India's top 10 biggest sites, and is an established ecommerce player in India, I think this is probably a very shrewd move on Naspers part...

Yep. Naspers has led their previous rounds with Tiger Global. So Naspers already had about 17% before this round. Very shrewd
 
At least they're doing something with their dosh. When I look at some of these banks that hide everything in bluechip factories I've got to wonder. That said you can get banking from a lot of traditionally non-financial companies these days. Like PEP.
