National Eskom blackout warning

Eskom officials said they are in a race against time to avoid a complete grid collapse and a national electricity blackout.

To avoid a total blackout, Eskom is preparing for stage 5 and stage 6 load-shedding - which require 5,000MW and 6,000MW to be shed from the grid respectively.

Yep, at 16:00 on a weekday. Some others also tried to find alternatives in an attempt not to blame loadshedding. We are in for a huge surprise in SA. The Facebook screenshot is from a total different person at a total different store who has the same message from another store.

A national blackout of at least 2 weeks is imminent. There is nothing to prevent anymore. The wheel is set in motion and cannot be stopped.

25 Years ago Eskom knew their power station were aged.
Now 25 years later they have come of "aged" , not getting younger. They ANC new they were running into problems.
Now they want to upgrade Medupi the newest PowerStation at a large sum. WTF

Semantics. Stage 5 and 6 loadshedding to stave off a national blackout means a national blackout is a possibility. Now let's consider how much faith rational people should have in Eskom and governments ability to get a fccking thing right. Stop with the wishful think and prepare for the absolute worst because we are on the precipice of a catastrophe.

Depending how long the outages will be, it is more profitable to close up shop and call it a day.

Take stock of what I have just written. That is the worst case scenario of may come; businesses deciding it is no longer viable to trade in SA and pulling out. If this continues it will happen.
