Is there anyway too find out were the nearest Neotel tower to my location would be?

Ok. Heres how I did it. Go onto the neotel website and look for your adress thingy on the location/cover tool with the map. Zoom out till you see where the signals come from. A tower looks like a 3 leafed clover. Usually, the clover that is nearest you is the closest. But, and this is most important; Line of Sight is much much more important than distance. Make a list of the 4 or 5 closest towers to your house. Then, and this is the fun part, take you antenna and point it where the towers are, moving it once every 2minuts by roughly 10degrees. This works best if you are tuning it by checking your RSSI.

Up on the roof. Move it. Get back down. Measure RSSI and write it down somewhere. Repeat.

Do this till you've got the best RSSI, move your antenna to point there again and fine tune it. Should take you roughly an hour to do properly.

Thats how I did it, and it works :D

Awesome Thanks. The Neotel Rep also managed to help me.

OK I can't seem to find any clovers. What color are they? I see some red dot's with circles around them. Do they only show up on a certain level of zoom?

My closest tower is Gardens Centre if I'm not correct.
I couldn't get any closer to be honest... I still have the ***est speeds ever :(

Flip me too.

I'm like 200m away from the Mall ourselves. Connections horrible. Anyways, it's the degradation issue that's causing that. Let's hope they get it fixed soonest!

It's easy bru. :D OK, just zoom out till you see where the signal is coming from (the orange stuff). Zoom out till you see it be in a circular pattern, with 3 "dead" white lines in-between. This makes it look like a three leafed clover. That is the tower location. Just point your antenna more or less near there and then fine tune it:cool:

The red dots are just landmarks, I think (hospitals, schools and stuff). Unless someone can correct me;)

This sounds like a cool idea to point your antenna into the right direction for best signal...although the other day I took the liberty to actually take my phone and laptop and drive to a point where I got the best signal on the phone (4 bars) and guess what, the speeds were hardly better than inside of my study room... bummer!!!

I thought it was because of my signal, but I am starting to think these guys have still got a lot of homework to do before they are getting happy customers all town...

Anyways, still we are hoping they could resolve these problems sooner than later before they loose all their new customers... :D

Has anybody been able to find any Neotel towers on the Neotel site map??? The must be like leprechauns. thought I saw one before and now they seem to have all disappeared no matter how much I zoom in or zoom out :(

I dont think theyve ever been on there?? At least ive never seen them...

Well Im in Bedfordview and I got told the one here is in Oriel. ive spent the last 20 min searching the entire NeoMap on their site and dont see no little 3 red antenna markings :(

Its because they removed that level of detail. Ask the Neotel Rep. He'll tell you what direction to point your aerial for best reception, but he wont tell you the exact location of towers near you.
