I'm happy with the HAF, my Phenom is running at a nice 24 degrees idle and about 45 degrees after a gaming session or hard work load, and it's really quiet.

I wasn't really happy with the stock 120mm fan on the water cooling, it's really loud when you turn the rheostat up and makes a whining noise. So I swopped it out for a silent 120mm, works wonders now :D

I next upgrade will be the 128gb SSD and might as well take out the 7200 rpm 1TB I have and replace it with a WD Raptor 320gb or so.

I want to swop my Media Server pc chassis for a Coolermaster Scout, it looks funky and it's only about $150 here, so it's not to bad considering I forked out $240 for the HAF.
 
thanx hey, the 5tb has grown since lol

im makin a switch to the antec 1200 in a week, just waitin on certain screws to mount the hddz. really excited about it. ive done some research and decided that im gonna customise all to cabling and connectors. will take time but yeah, modding is fun!

So what you packing now? 6,7,8,9,10tb???

My previous mods I did all the cable sleeving and molexes (replaced them with uv reactive ones) and I used rubber dampeners for all the fans and the psu, changed the psu housing to a uv reactive one...I added battle switches for the power and reset buttons.

Modding is a bit time consuming, but it's really fun and the end product is even better :D

You should post some updated pics once you're done with it, me likes to see :cool:

(I'm just waiting before I get a SSD, I wanna buy everything at once instead of bit by bit)

you're lucky u r over there and dont have to import the little tidbits to make things work. I was thinking of uv but decided on black, there are other things to uv, like slot covers etc. what psu did you use? i would love to get a kingwin mach1, they are most beautiful.

those fighter pilot switches are cool but i prefer the vandal proof ones with the ring led.

I think we should start a SA modding movement, even though you're over there, LOL

Damn, 6tb is still insane...I take it it's all in RAID 0 or 5?

Yeah, it's really nice to be able to get things much easier and cheaper here in Aus...even though I'm about 2hours outside of Melbourne, there are still quite a few shops with tons of shizzle.

Erm the PSU was a cheapie one... I think it was a TITAN if I remember correctly. My 1200watt only set me back $99 aud, so that was okay cos it has a enormous amount of connects and it's all sleeved too :) .Indeed the Kingwin is one sexy psu hehe.

The modding movement is a good idea, sounds fun.

no raid. 6tb is not much when you are into hd media hehe

im gonna have to get a pci sata adapter soon, my dvd drive is still ide though.

so where do we start? a forum perhaps? i think its a great idea. and ive got the knowledge to set 1 up.

btw, this is what i more or less will be working towards, without sli and plenty moar hdd lol

Get ureself some cableties. 5 bucks worth of ties can do wonders on a PC. Just a hassle if you play around alot with it (removing and replacing hardware).
 
Looks good so far, can do with a little touch ups here and there, but that's just me being a perfectionist :D

Me's thinking about the Coolermaster CM Scout for the my HD Pc, just I'm not liking the red as much...too similiar to the HAF. Will probably replace all the stock Red LED fans with Green ones.
