Hi

First of all, I am not finding a recent thread that covers this topic.

I need to get a new ADSL router and are hoping for some suggestions.

Does anyone know what is good these days? I was not very happy with my last Belkin, the wifi signal was bad. Also, being able to plug in a USB disk I can access as a network drive would be a plus.

Thanks a lot

Hi, I use the Linksys WAG320N and it works well as router and wifi. It does have USB port for storage but i have not tested it yet but I can do and let you know? I use a NAS as media storage but I know the WAG320N can act as one as well.

TP Links are my most common recommendation for ease of use and functionality these days. The W8980 is a great consumer device for a modem/router combo. You can also grab it with a discount for mybroadband members from Uniterm Direct.

Thanks, but I need something with a bit more "beef"

I have a large area to cover and we are 3 people using it without all the wireless devices

The TP link N600 is great.A bit expensive but I have no faults with it. I run 1 PC,1 tv, 3 Smartphones and 2 Tablets of it simutaniously. Even with a wall and the 46" LCD tv interfering I still get full bars on 2.4 spectrum. The 5 is a bit weak with only 2 bars.

I will edit with link and specs if you PM me for info.

I've been looking for a VDSL router myself and from the thread, I have learned:

PACE 921VNX

This is the router Telkom tries to sell VDSL customers.
