Need a new ISP because WA sucks!

The topic says it all. Can anyone please make a recommendation for a new ISP because I am not winning with WA shaped, unshapped or their so called titan package. My playing latency is **** and it's always the same thing with them, please send us traceroutes and we will look into it.

I have tried everything from proxies, all the way to getting new routers and getting Telkom out to test the lines.

Good luck dude, finding ISP better than WA won't be easy. Thing is, it is probably not WA's fault but Telkom, you definitely on an exchange which is overloaded after hours. Another ISP is not going to fix your problem, you need to get telkom to fix your exchange.
 
my WA 30 gig gives me the best results for wow, sometimes the ping is as low as 350 without any other software helping.

It does suck...bigtime. I can't even connect without battleping running. Right after I hit enter after entering my login details it bombs out and says "you have been disconnected". No clue why it does it though. Worked fine before the last patch.

Oh, I'm with Cybersmart 384. Usually get 250 - 350ms.

WA is the best

I have a WA unshaped and a Axxess unshaped and i get 200 with WA and 300 - 350 with Axxes.

And i downloaded the patches from the WA at 980kb/s for free
 
Thanks for the replies guys... I guess I will have to blow up the exchange as I see no other way for it to get upgraded sooner ;)
 
If its the exchange (it probably is), then you'll find that its like knocking on a VERY thick brick wall with Telkom on the other side; they just don't "get" latency.....If you manage to get it sorted, please let me know.

I see ADSL latency issues emerging more and more on this forum. Very concerning!

when my line got upgraded to 10mbps my latency went up to 250 - 300 range from 220 - 250 for about 2 weeks and now for the last 2 weeks its stabel at 200 - 220
 
I don't think your problem is ISP related...

I have a Titan package and a Shaped account and I get less than 350ms every night on WoW.
 
My biggest problem is the inconsistent lag spikes... it ranges from 210ms (with lowerping) to 5k last night once entering combat and during that time my vent latency spikes to around 600ms... But my vent latency is sitting at 197ms when not in combat. It is very strange. I've done everything in wow to check if it's an addon, but it's not.
 
I would suggest you hammer Telkom about that. Tell them they need to move you to a different exchange if possible.

On my Web Africa account, I never have any spikes and I do 25man raids and some BG's :) Defo not an ISP problem.
 
O I have been there and lagged like that. Trust me , for years. The only thing that fixed it was moving…
At my new place now and im getting 350 with WA shaped and battleping knocks it to about 250-280.
Also note worthy is my exchange is outdated and cannot support more than 512.
Regardless it werking!
 
Should maybe have telkom downgrade your line?
It seems that you have a fast connection most of the time (220ms) but as soon as the traffic increases you have lots of package drops. Could be that your line cannot sync at the current download/upload ratio. For some people it helped to have their 4mb line reduced to 2mb...
