I need a portable mini USB charger for my daughters Nexus 7's. We are going on a long flight and I want to be able to charge them mid flight. Any suggestions for something sold in SA?

As Yotch said try these Portable power banks. I bough 2 different ones on BidorBuy and they work good. Handy little things.

Just make sure you get one with a high enough charge rating. I have a 6000mAh powerbank which will charge my Note 1 (2500mAh) at least twice. It will half charge my Nexus 7 (4000mAh), and then stop, but there is still enough charge to charge the Note 1 at least once. It wont charge a Nexus 10 (9000mAh) at all.

You can a PowerMonkey for about R300+. Larger solutions (they name them like Gorilla etc) are available for more money. Saw some of them at the Metro store in VodaWorld.

Seriously considered upgrading the family to business class but eventually decided that it may be too late as the flight is in a few days :)

I ended up getting the pink 6400MA everlast ones from Incredible Ripoff. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I tried searching the local shops but didn't think that they would have them under mobile. I did see a 10000MA one afterwards but the R799 price tag was a bit much as I needed to get 2. That and my daughters liked the pink ones better :D
