I need advice please people.

I currently have a 2Gig VC contract that is due for an upgrade. It costs me R449.00 per month(and line of sight to their base station).

I recently heard about a new WISP in our city and I have coverege in my area. I cant decide whether to keep my VC contract or move the the WISP. The thing is I need wireless internet in my house, so with the VC contract I will get the B970 router @ R700 pay-in. With the WISP I have to purchase an antenna which will cost me R1900. The package I will take when going with the WISP is R550 per month with 5GB of data(speed is 4mbs) and Vodacom has only 2GB(3.6mbps). I cant decide which to get. Should I wait to see if prices drop in the next month or 2 or should I go with the WISP. I dont need mobile internet. The main thing I want is wireless internet in the house.

Advice will be appreciated.:)

Keep your current setup and go prepaid. It costs the same and then you are not locked into a 2 year contract. You can buy a 2GB bundle every month and if you find something better in the next few months you can stop using vodacom.

It is dubious if vodacom will pass on the cost savings they receive when Seacom goes live, so they would rather have you stuck in a 2 year contract.
