Hello. I used to have an adapter thingy that looked like an AC adapter, with two lines coming out of it. One line was a telephone wire that plug into the Telkom point. The other line was an Ethernet cable that plugged into the ADSL router. Then the third line was plugged into the mains power.

I need one again but I don't know what it is called. It allowed me to set up PPPOE from my router. I think it came with a Cisco router if I remember correctly but I used it on all sorts of routers...

They're both normal telephone cables, it's how ADSL works.

Walk into any telkom store and ask for a dsl splitter or filter, should be between R50 and R100, last bought one in 2015 and it was R50 then.

I have a couple here, have fiber now. If you have friends who moved from dsl to fiber, ask if you can have theirs.

Not a pots filter. Dunno what's it called though. Something to do with Power over ethernet..
