need assistance

the cd rom does now want to open or respond and then the pc keeps rebooting after it loaded the xp logo any advice on what could be wrong here thanks

1. we need more info on the pc. easier to help that way. we don't care if it's a P3. it's still your PC.(people have told you to give info or you won't get help....)
2. Get a paperclip & straighten it. look in the front of the CD drive. there is a tiny little hole just below the disk tray. insert the paperclip straight. it's a manual release button. PC can be off or on , does not matter.
3. have you looked at the inside of the PC? are there swollen caps?
4. Does the HDD make any ''funny'' sounds?

6. if you're talking about a CD ROM I assume the PC is quite old. So would look at hardware before considering corrupt windows...

Well i downloaded a few anti spyware and anti malware and then registry cleaners and after that i got an error regarding msvcrt.dll and now it does not want to load windows or the cd rom does not want to open up.
