Hi Peeps

I am in the sandton area. No international connectivity. Using WebAfrica.
Is it just me... Or is someone else having problems???

ok, no http taffic, but I can log onto US WoW servers, hmm TELKOM borked something again?
 
I suspect the Silent SAIX Proxies have been stuffed up again.

This may Contradict my previous post in this thread
 
damn im using dialup, and i can still get international.

the ****ed up thing is that i'm probably going to have to get another phone line just for my computer since it's going to be FOREVER before i get dsl. (no worries, i'll still be spending $1500 or so a month for the line. lovely.)
 
my suspicions confirmed

If you set your browser cache to cache.axxess.co.za (I am with Axxess) with the Port number 3128, all International Sites work.

Axxess, does your cache bypass Saix in Some way

If you set your browser to connect directly to the Internet with no Cache Server, You time out. - No International Browsing.

If you use a cache (saix.cache.net) or (cache.axxess.co.za) then you can browse internationally.

It looks like saix is blocking certain traffic types and forcing you to use a proxy server.

This will screw up downloader apps, Torrent Apps etc etc etc that do not have facility for a cache server setting
