I need to find the best value for money graphics card for driving 2 HP LP3065 30" dual-link DVI monitors at a minimum resolution of 1600x1200. From what I can tell, there are plenty of cards that support a single dual-link DVI monitor, but once you add the second, the max possible resolution on one of the monitors is limited to 1280x960.

I have already tried the following:

Nvidia Quadro FX50
Nvida Quadro NVS440

I've looked at the Quadro FX4600 specs and it seems to support 2 dual-link DVI outputs, but it retails for almost $2000.00!!!

Any advice??

It seems I might have found a possible candidate. I just checked the display specs for the Nvidia GeForce GTS250. It has 2 dual link DVI outputs and the typical retail price on web stores is $139.00. Using Conradl's price as a base, it should cost approx. R4200 here in SA. Still way too steep, but better than R60k.

Nah the 250 is more like R1,7k mate..

huh, where did you see that? I find it for R17,800 inc?

and then as the other dude said, the GTS250 is under 2k

Oops! Haste makes waste. It looks like lived666 is correct :) What the hell is SDI?

VCQFX4600-PCIE-PB R 15,927.35 PNY Quadro FX 4600- 768MB DDR3 PCI-Express (3 Year Warranty) : Dual Monitor
VCQFX4600SDI-PCIE-PB R 59,545.74 PNY Quadro FX 4600 SDI- 768MB DDR3 PCI-Express (3 Year Warranty) : Dual Monitor

SLI + dual monitor = not a good idea.

But many Graphics cards do support dual dual-link DVI. ATI 4850, nVidia GTS 250 etc etc

My MSI R4670-2D1G/D3 Supports Dual Link DVI X 2

Should be able to get one for around 1K

From the manual

Display Features
Dual independent display controllers that support true 30-bpp throughout the display pipe.
Full feature symmetry in both controllers.

Support for display resolutions up to 3840x2400 per display output, which does not
oversubscribe available memory bandwidth.
