Dude, it's an arcade racer like the successful Burnout series. It's got nothing to do with how old you are.

You really need to play more games and learn there are many genres.
 
I don't have the luxury of playing more than a few matches (online or career mode) per week, but have enjoyed the game immensely. I'm a noob when it comes to racers but what has certainly helped the enjoyment is when playing against my friend, our two PCs are setup next to each other which makes the whole competitive thing way more enjoyable :) Playing with a logitech rumble pad 2 probably helps make the game more immersive for me as well.
 
I played this game, and I think its worth it to be honest especially the online side of things, its a remake of the second Hot persuit the came out.
 
this game is really a letdown. The steering really sux! feels way too artificial with the gaming controller and my momo wheel!. As for NFS World - can never get it to log in... almost no point wasting my time with EA Games...
 
One of the worst NFS titles in some time, what is very clear is that this game is a stopgap for shift 2, I mean it even has promotional stuff for shift2 in.
I really enjoyed shift as you could bump up the realism enough to make it rewarding to drive properly using a steering-wheel and pedal combo.
And now they have brought out another burnout arcade game races are so easy you never have to even touch the brakes, just double tap forward whilst turning to slide trough even the tightest hairpins.
Hope TDU 2 offers some realism, wish they would port forza to the PC.

Shift is a separate series now so HP is no stopgap. Criterion and EA make the arcade stuff that comes out every November while Slightly Mad Studios work on the Shift series which is supposed to be realistic.
Notice Shift 2 doesn't have Need for Speed in the name any more. EA wants it to become a competitor to Forza and Gran Turismo.

If that is the case I believe this was my last need for speed purchase then, arcade racers just don't do it for me.
 
what a USEless game!!!!! I had such high expectations for NFS Hot Pursuit, the original was a legend game and had better driving dynamics!!!! I can't even change to frikkin manual gear change in the new one!! Or am I missing something out? When is EA gonna develop a NFS title which can live up to NFS Porsche 2000, i.m.o the best NFS title so far! And purely for its great depth and car customisation! You could change everything on the mechanical side and also appearances! Ugh!

Shift 2: Unleashed. Will be out in April ;)
 
shift was also a waste of time!... The ones I enjoyed was Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted & Undercover. The rest.... :(

The last game in the NFS series I played was Most Wanted, somewhere I have some screenshots of my highly modified DB9 flying through the air with a cop car right on my rear, lol. Played a demo of Carbon, but didn't catch my interest.

Maybe will breakdown and get W7 with my new rig, and start gaming again, will see.
