Menu

The menu system spoils the game.

Too many confirms required to start. I already know I have chosen "English" and it should autologin without asking me to cofirm everything every time.

No Joystick support. One of the joys of previous NFS games is you can use your joystick to go through options without the keyboard. this is gone :-(:(
 
With the 1.1 patch it has mouse support in menu and a properly working lan function for the first time in ages in a NFS title. I won't go so far as to say a menu system spoils a game, especially a racing game. It's about the racing, and racing in shift is top notch.
 
I heard its too short? friend of mine got it for under a week and his finished already! .......and he was studying at the time.

I can also confirm this.. i finished mine while writting semester tests under 2 weeks :D
 
Can you play this game on a LAN or do you have to sign in to x online server and validate y stuff to be able to?
 
using keyboard for driving is nigh impossible.. wheel or controller is needed

where to look for patch for LAN?
 
thanks stonecold but the sites on the net say you can only LAN through a online server cause me and 4 of my friends wants to LAN nfs this coming weekend.I dont wana waste 13mb for a patch and it is not gonna support offline LAN.
 
I play about an hour or so a day ... I don't jump to a new level untill I finish the tier I'm on, so far its really good. I suck at drifting though... much harder than the other NFS titles! Graphics are sweet!

Yeah amazingly this game is much easier with my Logitech Momo. Other times I have to get used to a game when I switch from keyboard to wheel... but this time its way easier... no getting used to required.
 
NFS series needs to come to an end.
Its either because i expect allot more or because its the same old.
Big NFS fan but this will probably be my last NFS title.
play it, enjoy it, and move on.
