Problem: Line dropping every few minutes. A lot of packet loss at times.
Equipment:
- TP-LINK WD4300 Wifi Router
- Billion 800VGT Adsl modem
Line attenuation: 43 down; 29 up
SNR: 16 down; 12 up
Here's the tracert results that I get. It doesn't matter what address I use. Hop 3 always times out.

What is the problem with hop 3? Is that the little Telkom blue SDP switch outside our house on the street?
The results are the same with two different routers, and two different ISPs. Line still drops, tracert results similar. I've also had a Telkom techie try change my DSLAM at the exchange which improved attenuation but did not solve the dropping/packet loss problem.
Any help finding the problem would be appreciated. Or at least helping me to point the techie in the right direction.
