Need Help guys please

Ok, so i deleted a lot of my photos by accident (dont ask me why, i was stupid)

What programs can i use to get them back? System recovery or just a downloadable program? I know there are programs out there that can get deleted files back. Can you guys help me by naming a few of them?

These photos are really valuable and precious and i feel like crap because i didnt back them up

ok, did you send them to the recycle bin or did you "shift-delete" them (thus deleting them properly). Back in the DOS days you could use the 'undelete' command, but dont know if it'd wrk nowadays.

I'd freak if I lost my photos.

DO NOT WRITE TO THAT DRIVE, anything you install now may well write over parts of the drive that are now marked as available for use where your pix are ..yes, 'are', not 'were'. So, pull that drive 'n plug it into another machine and run a data recovery program from that machine. Data recovery questions keep coming up around these parts - go scratch around.

I used Ontrack Easy Recovery Pro before as suggested on this site and it worked, but it is key not to do anything inbetween with that hdd.

The one time it didn't work due to formatting the disk twice

Just search data recovery tools in google and you'll get a lot of them here is a few that hsa worked for me for photos and full HDD recovery.

Good idea have been hearing of a lot of pc's crashing lately and of persons even myself deleting important files. Maybe its caused by lack of sleep or something.

From my own experiences and that I've seen elsewhere you may be better off buying a new video card if you are using nVidia

Well its not the gcard,Its the tv card.thats the problem,i hate that i must buy a new vista compatble tv card.STRANGE THE CARD WORKS IN MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC.at least it used to work before the update
