SOOOO... as it seems, i'm going to china in August for 11 days.

The funny thing is, i got cash, and i was wondering if there were any chinese online shopping sites for computer components. I was planning on getting a New graphics card, and a new cpu, and if there's any spare money, some ddr 400 ram.
Oh do you know what would be a good graphics card to get? something thast nice and beefy

ddr400 is sooo old, get sum ddr2-1024's (at least ddr2-800), with a nice Quad-Core2Duo.

How much space/weight can you bring back?

Which city are you going to stay? Almost every major city has computer market in China, you don't need to buy staff online.
PM me,I will help you because I am Chinese.

Any confirmation yet when you going up?

Think mods should make your thread a sticky

lol... well Going in August, so, if that helps. and i would update my whole system to a core to duo, but limited cash and space. And remember, i'm kinda going with the family (was my dad's idea, thought it would be a bonding experience) and the fact that um, I'm pretty much going on a full tour.

Thats why i said graphics, cpu and maybe ram or harddrive,

Oh i need a chinses online shop so i can see what i'm gonna be gunning for.

if you can just get a whole new computer...stuff will be very cheap there, if you worried bout space, get a new mobo and psu here, get the rest in china...

I would think the local prices in SA-30% would be the norm out in China if not more. I'm going to China for the 4th time this year but I seldom get a chance to go shopping....

be very careful about buying all your parts and blowing tons of cash man

if something should fail your going to cry

i think you need to work out the price difference between buying there and buying here, then think to yourself if that little bit of a saving is worth the shlep of getting something swopped out if it fails

thats kinda why i only want to get simple things, and not go out buying tons of stuff... I'll take a gamble with the graphics card and a cpu,(mine are working fine, just need an upgrade).
