need help making my pc quiet

Take ur PC to the landfill and dump it, then go back home. You will see the noise will be gone.

PS: While your at the landfill please also leave your bad attitude there.

so some of the stock fans you get with a decent chassis are not that bad or noisy. I guess the question is really why you want to replace your fans - is it because of excess noise, or excess heat, or just for something for you to do? Most people would replace for either or both of the first two reasons above.

IF you are replacing fans because of the noise (as people have inferred), then all they are saying is that you could do that and still have a noisy rig if the sound is coming from your graphics card (which is actually fairly common). If that's the case, you may have a big challenge/not be able to change the fan on your GPU.

If you are replacing because you have excess heat in your rig (and seeing as how you want to overclock you probably will get that, and definitely won't want your stock fans) then you especially want a DECENT CPU fan! I like the CoolerMaster fans which you can find on that site you linked.

Good luck!

In Antec cases (some) they make use of rubber grommets that the HDD's vibration doesn't go through to the chassis, and then the all the panels have padding inside to damp the noise, I don't think just by replacing fans would make it quiet.

My antec is like that. think nzxt also do it for some of their cases.

Here's what you do:
-get yourself a hyper 212x -
-get yourself the Corsair fan but if you can fit two 200mm fans, do that instead because typically a larger fan spins slower which results in less noise but moves more air.
- Find a good Fan controller[/QUOTE]

Agree.
