need help running a game...

Hello. I have a NVIDIA 8600GT 256mb, and I am trying to run a game called Guild Wars. I do all the decompressing then when it gets to 100% (on the loading screen to get to the login in screen) it clicks away from it, i get the mouse that is on Guild Wars, and then it completely freezes. I don't know what is wrong with it, but I used to play the game a lot, but it doesn't work anymore.

I'd say the first suspect is the graphics card's drivers, if you are not running the latest, non-beta drivers download and install them from NVIDIA's website. If this doesn't work, let me know and we'll go from there.
