So i upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1070 ,since this it seems my screen turns off and on when it tries to enter screensaver mode (just a blank screen)

if i put into sleep mode it doesn't do it.

i tried google but they seem to have problems coming out of screensaver or sleep mode. Not the same as my problem.

Updated and rolled back the graphics drivers but same thing?

If anyone knows a fix please assist :)

It's broken.

Better give it to me, I know of a disposal site nearby

:D

In all seriousness, have you done a clean install of the Nvidia drivers?

Your issue makes me think back to when I had a silly 19" 1440*900 screen and my GTX570 just wouldn't accept it as a proper display resolution.

I had all sorts of hassles with it until I upgraded to a 21.5" with a more common resolution. Also via DVI. Have you tried another cable? Do you have another HDD you could load with a fresh copy of your OS and test whether it happens there?

Turn off the screen saver and turn on power off screen that should fix the problem.

In the old days you used to pay someone to flash you

You sir got a bargain if it's flashing you non-stop :D

Turn off the screen saver and turn on power off screen that should fix the problem.
+1 for a solution.

A reason could be a monitor. Unstable backilt LED/CCFL driver on light load. Check you monitor on different PC, if problem persist, check monitor PSU for bulged capacitors, return for repair if covered by warranty.

UPDATE

So there's no screen saver enabled ,seems after 5mins of idle the screen gets turned off,but screen forces itself on again :/ cant find setting on the gpu thats doing this

GPU going into an idle state which is maybe causing the output to shut off for some reason?

That's all I can think of right now
