Need help setting up a wireless network!

Hi I need help setting up a wireless network! I wanna network (NOT SHARE INTERNET CONNECTION) between me and my friend! I went with my gps and he lives +-200 meters away from me! on the same block of coarse!!!

I have no experience with this and I wanna know it if it possible and what the costs will be involved! He and I have laptops that can have a wireless network (I have a wireless router hooked up to my laptop already! http://www.marconisa.co.za/premium_combo_modems.htm) So basically I am looking for a long range wireless router??

Legit, There is a TON of info on the sites that Daffy has mentioned - you will be able to read up on what you need to do to be able to connect to your friend, wirelessly.
