Need help to reset Ipad 2

Hello

My niece has used the wrong password 5 times on her Dad`s Ipad 2. I am told it is locked and her Mum went to Incredible Corruption and they want R500 to reset it. How do I go about doing this myself? If anyone knows, please help!

Try getting the device into DFU mode, then connect it to a computer running iTunes. iTunes will then popup a message stating that it picked up an iPad in DFU mode and ask if it must download the latest system image to restore it. It should be a 1.5GB download. Once that's done, it should then restore the iPad.

Just know that all the data on the device is now gone unless you have backed it up via iCloud or something like that, you can still re-download the apps though.
