Do the usual : Developer , usb debugging ,OEM Unlocking on .
go to adb : reboot bootloader
then fastboot oem unlock ( warning this will wipe all user data ) ,a screen on the tablet will come up , press volume up for ok . I needed to to do this twice before the "pass ok " came up
reboot and install kingroot from here : http://get.xda-developers.com/dl/9/....apk?key=NsL7qVT0rtcDCB2vZz5R7Q&ts=1460291834

make sure tablet have internet connection , and when tablet reboot , make sure the oem unlock is still on , my tablet was rooted on the second reboot from kingroot .

Did this rooting business work?

Anyone want to do a quick review of the tablet? I'm looking to get one...

Screen and battery life decent? Considering the price... No lag due to low RAM?

I did a mini review about it when I bought it around December last year.

The low screen resolution is the only real downside for me for gaming like CoC. Obviously it will struggle with graphic intensive games. Also you will need a memory card cos 8 gigs built in is not enough. Otherwise for Web browsing, movies & series and YouTube, which is what I got it for, it's brilliant. There is no lag in using any of the aforementioned apps or in Nova Launcher.

4000mAh is not much for a tablet. I usually charge it once every two days.

Thanks, man. Looks decent.

Compared to the Samsung Tab E which is twice the cost, has a smaller screen, and an older OS.

I'm currently using the Huawei Mediapad T1 8.0 inch which is solid. Looking for something with a bigger screen.

I'd suggest playing with the demo model in a store before buying. You're definitely going to feel the difference in PPI moving to a bigger screen and going from quad core to dual core, especially if you are going to be gaming on it.

Yes I'll definitely try that. Didn't see a demo version at any of the VC stores I've been in lately but I'll check.

I'd take the 10 inch Huawei if VC still stocked it...
