Need help troubleshooting my hardware...

Wow, dude. Do I look like a cowboy to you? And if I contact the wrong pins? I guess theres no power, but still, I wouldnt risk it.

None the less, Im currently at work, will only get to try this these ideas out tonight.

If you contact the wrong ones, nothing will happen. Seriously. Just unplug the little wire, and touch those 2 pins with a screwdriver or knife blade. Don't keep it shorted, just make the contact, it should turn on instantly.

It's a VERY low current, just to give the PSU the signal to turn on or off, it doesn't work like the old-skool 386 or Pentium PSU's where the whole current goes through the power button.

Yo! Sadly didnt have a chance to try out the suggestions last night. Coding till 12, big presentation today.

Will keep updating tonight or through the weekend.

Well, I tried out your solutions, no luck. So I figured, lets have a look at each part really closely, just in case something small went wonky. Pull off the heatsink, pull out the CPU, and after some careful searching, I found one of my CPU pins(?) was pulled out of place. After 10 minutes of very careful prodding and pushing, it looked straight again. Before anyone says anything, I did use that plastic cover for my CPU space when cleaning. Dont know how that 1 pin went out of place tho.

None the less, fired it up, and she stayed on :)
Quickly added GPU, HDD, and she boots. So happy days. Will move everything back into the case tomorrow.

Guys, really, thanks a lot for your help. A real bunch of stand up folks :)
