Hi all I am considering starting my own part time / small business selling everything from computerd to ps3 games. Could any1 help me with a supplier in the durban area hopw to register my businesdsd etc. And I don't what to pay for auditers and tax registration numbers etc. So can any1 help me set up a part time business?

Easiest way is register a cc. You legally have to have a registered account give you a letter of appointment and go over your finances for you though. Best way to register do it online with CIPRO (you still have to go in for part though), unless your going to pay one of those companies that do it for you. (Don't buy a shelf company, you will still have to wait and pay to change the name and have it "reactivated" if it's old.)

Cost to register about R200 (if done yourself), they've introduced some R100 fee a cc must now pay annually as well though.

I was doing the same thing, and being very very small I'm finding the red tape (for having a cc) to be a PITA, so I'm just canning it. You will also have to have a business bank account in the name of your cc (more red tape and they aren't cheap on the fees, you can get ABSA BizStart but internet banking is R90pm).

The negatives will all be non-issues if your actaully making money though. ;)

I think it'll cost about R200 you'll have to do your own research on cipro.co.za, you'll have to pay the accountant for a letter of apointment and you'll have to pay them to go over your finances, guess it will come down to how much their rate is or how good you are at negotiating.
