need help with anti virus

Hey all
just installed pc-cillin 2004. Does any1 know why when i have it installed i cant browse any websites. strange that i can use bittorent but cant get onto any websites till i uninstall it. if i install it again then i cant get onto anywebsites again then i unintsall and i can browse again......
any1 know the answer?

Maybe it has a built in firewall thats closing off your ports?

I had a slightly similar problem, a file corupted in Zonealarm and I could only access local secure sites (like banking sites) and no other access. Re-installed and all's well, as I'm writing this.

Try sygate personal firewall......used it before

Wasnt bad and worked with basic interface
 
Personally, of all the Free for Personal Use AV systems, I have found Avast (www.avast.com) the best - better than AVG etc. Never been a big fan of pc-cillin. If you are an Internet Banking customer of Standard Bank (don't know about the other banks) you can download and use McAffee AV and Firewall Plus (excellent) free for a year.

ok got mcafee,but why was there no cd key??everything is working but i didnt have to use cd-key. i wonder why?

Did you get it from Standard Bank - then it installs based on your e-mail addy...

The standard bank one sucks, Crashed my machine. But there is no cd key on the boxed version either.
