Hey,

Any hardware specialists out there who can help me?

My hard drive failed - when I started up it just said select drive to boot from and would not accept the drive.

So I put another 1TB drive in with Windows 7 and it asked me to reauthenticate... after that it pops up this error:

I went into check disk in a command prompt and got no errors, but when I reboot up it stops and says the drive has failed as says press F1 to continue, then it says the same thing when I am back in Windows. Trying to do a backup through the program on Windows 7 does not work either.

So seeing as this is the second hard drive on the same infrastructure, I am wondering whether this is somehow motherboard related? Anyone got any ideas on what do to?

What drives are they? Samsung have a bootable iso where you can bootup and run a bunch of HDD tests. I'm sure other vendors have similar apps.
