Need help with immigration

Hi all, hope all is well. So my brother married a German girl and she got pregnant on their honeymoon :) but she had to go back to Germany to sort out all the paperwork. They now have been apart for 90 days with no word at all and it's breaking my hart. he is missing the entire thing. I have no idea how all this visas and stuff work at all. We do not have the money to get a immigration lawyer. So this is just a shot in the dark but is there anybody that can point me in a direction or somebody that i can call to help them. Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a blessed day.

No word at all? Sounds a bit strange?
 
There's bound to be a South Africans in Germany Facebook group and these expat groups usually have people on there that have either been through a similar experience or deal with stuff like this.

It's one thing that platform is still good for.
 
Sounds very suspect. 90 days and no word from her? Has he tried calling / emailing / whatsapp etc her? Sorry, but you sound more upset than he is.

If she is sorting out the paperwork she should know what the process is?
 
As others have said. Very very suspect...

Connect to wifi send email or what'sapp.

Almost sounds likes she wants to be unreachable

Back in the day maybe with Tech the way it is now. No

Wait, do you need help getting a visa for her to come here - or for your brother to go there? I know you said immigration, but the thing is even if you get a lawyer if you havent been in contact with her, how are you going to help her come here?

If your brother wants to go there to see her, to get a shengen visa is not terribly difficult.

The original post reminds me of family/friends positing on behalf of a person looking for work: "my uncle is desperately looking for work".

If your brother is really concerned, let him handle his personal affairs.
 
He should be able to get a family reunification through the child once born. Cost is like R250 admin fee or something these days, but you'll need paperwork galore from the mother etc. This is the visa I have (german spouse and minor) and I need to get it renewed too. Most of the info should be on the TLS visa site.

I mean I'm sitting in a bus in Belgrade not that difficult to make contact if you want to try...


You guys stop focusing on the visa and focus on the contact. 90days is crazy long

I'm saying it wasn't that difficult to connect to bus wifi and make that post.

If you haven't heard from the person in 90 days they don't want to be heard from. Or I guess worst case dead.

It's 2022. Almost impossible to just fall off the grid.

@ChriZA step 1 make contact first... Seriously forget abt the visa till you have made contact. It's not 90 hours we talking three months!

Find her parents sibling family anything reach out and make contact first!

Yeah, I'm with you here. 90 days while pregnant with someone's child and you don't make contact with the father? I smell BS.
