Need help with Pc Modding

Can try that one as well, they are both essentially the same thing.

Anyway, on the sleeving thing - do you want to do it the "zomg this is amazing" way, or the "looks decent" way? It'll make a difference of around R500 and somewhere around 30 hours of work

Looks decent, cause most of the cables will eventually be behind my motherboard anyways. and I'm thinking of having two colors, not that I know what colors to do with as of yet. Maybe black and red..

I'm thinking of getting myself a Corsair AX650: http://rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=39_86&products_id=8219

How much better would it be over the Coolermaster Extreme Power Plus 650w that I have right now? The main reason I want to get that PSU is so that I can cable sleeve it, so I need to know what to do on that also, I have emailed Rebel tech in the meanwhile.

Or should I rather save up for the AX750, thing is I have never crossfire'd and if I ever do so it will be with medium range cards since I've never owned a high end GPU. so I'm sure the 650 would be able to handle 2 6870's if I ever do it?

EDIT: after looking at the specs of the 750 I think I would rather go for it instead over the 650.

I would try get the 750. The 650 would run Xfire HD6870. AX are great because they offer 7 year warranty. They are Seasonic OEM.

But the main reason would be quiet computing. AX use a hybrid fan that only kicks in once a certain load is reached.

So basically my 850's fan is never/barely on because I think it kicks in at around 350-400 watts load. It's totally silent. Q9550 at 3.6, 4x2GB, HD6970.

ya i suppose, but i don't normally go through warranty after such a long period as there is something better out

But it's a PSU, and I'll be cable sleeving it, it's not like I will decide to go for a 800w anytime soon :P

Correct me if I'm wrong but that will void the warranty if you open up the unit?
If you buy a fully modular PSU you'll most likely avoid this as the cables are all detachable. So just check if it is true and what voids a warranty :)

The AX 750 is a fully modular PSU.

I know.

But sorry I was talking about the Coolermaster Extreme Power Plus 650w, that you were talking about earlier. :o My fault for not being clear.

Nah it isn't it's just a standard PSU and I'm told that it's a pretty poor quality also so that 's why I'm upgrading.

Hi guys

So I've been a busy bee the last two nights. Installing new fans, new uv lights and some new sata cables. Also sleeved all my fan wires and both my power leads to my gpu.

Gonna do the modular power leads next then move onto my H50 mod :)

Still a bit of a rats nest but once I have everything done I'll post a pic with the uv lighting on... :)

Happy so far though :D

I see nothing.

Images have gone dead for me as well actually, but did see them earlier. I just cant remember if I looked at home, or at work. Cause then it could be work blocking stuff

I don't block stuff.
