The person has a HD PVR in the TV Room. Now he has three more tvs one in each bedroom that he wants to get setup with each room able to watch full dstv.
He does not want to pay another monthly subscription.

What setup can he use?

Please help me.

Many thanks

How much are you planning on charging this person for MyBB's advice?

Well i am thinking of doing an extraview setup. Maybe i can then buy two sets of iR and connect the one blaster from the one bedroom to the primary decoder and the other set of iR in the other bedroom to the secondary decoder. This could work...?

Do you want 4 independent viewing environments, so each location can watch whichever channel they want?
If so you will need 2 Xtraview setups

Yes four individual viewing. Please tell me more how the setup should be? Thanks

Ok, well for now lets rule out the SDPVR

You'll need a combination of HDPVRs and/or single view decoders (1110 or 1131)
You will obviously need enough LNB feeds, dual LNB + 2x8 multiswitch will do
Each "couple" of decoders will need a heartbeat cable between then, and you'll obviously need to get dish feeds to each room if the decoder is going to be in each room

Ok so let us take it like this: he has a hd pvr in the tv room.
Steps to take:
1. Buy another 1131 decoder.
2. Put new decoder in furthest room
3. Buy two sets of remote blasters
4. Install 2x8 multiswith
5. Take 2 feeds to primary decoder.
6. Then 1 feed gets pulled along with heartbeat cable to furthest room to secondary decoder.
6. Pull heartbeat cable rf in primary decoder to rf in secondary decoder tv in bedroom.
7. Connect room next to tv room via rf out to rf tv input.
8. Set up a set of remote blaster set one blaster in tv room and other blaster in bedroom.
9. Then do the same with furthest room and other bedroom.
10. Then connect rf out from secondary to the rf of tv in other room.
11. Put blaster in secondary room and then other blaster in other room.

Would this work?

Thanks Smurfatefrog may you blessed for your help!

No, for two xtra views you need:-

1. 3 more decoders
2. Put a decoder in each room that there is a tv.
3. Don't need remote blasters
4. need a multiswitch to connect LNB to each decoder
5. yip
6. yip and another feed to all the other decoders
7. nope
8. nope
9. nope
10 nope
11 nope.

Your way of setting up would not work as two xtra view set ups. However, if you want two xtra view set ups, it will cost two subscriptions a month. The way you want to do things will not let the guy have dstv on all tv's as separate viewing environments. It would be impossible to do with out two xtra view set ups. Nearest you will get is xtra view to two tv's, with a third tv having to be showing what one of the decoders is showing on the xtra view set up.

What I personally would suggest, is that you advise your client to go and talk to an accredited multichoice installer as then at least they will be able to do the installation without having to rely on MyBB...

As Ronjay said, you need another 3 decoders. Rethink which you want as this will determine the setup

Ok i see now. But what if the person gets another hd pvr decoder in the furthest room? Then connect them via heartbeat cable for extraview and then the two rooms set it up with two sets of remote blasters.
Each room gets a remote blaster then.

This can work right?

Thanks

Yes it will work, but then you will only have 2 independent viewing environments
You will also need to get 2 feeds from the multiswitch to that room

But with the other two rooms in between when i put remote blasters in them?
With the hd pvrs having two channels you get in each room they can then watch one channel what the other room where decoder is watching and the other channel available through the hd pvr they can change that and watch wht they want through the remote blasters right?

Many thanks

HDPVR do NOT have 2 channels..
They only have 1....

This is why I am suggesting you send your potential client to an accredited Multichoice installer, then they can get the right advice and setup the first time.

You can't get it that each tv can watch different channels with just two decoders. "Splitting" a signal from rf to a second tv will result in that tv displaying only what is on the first tv. So you can xtra view for two tv's, but if you want the other tv's to display channels independently of the xtra view, it is not going to work. Remote blasters only change channels on the tv's in the rooms with the decoders so that you can change channels from other rooms.

I'd advise that you get two xtra view set ups, but then the client will have to pay two subscriptions. Or do the install that you want but realize that when the client changes the channel on one of the tv's that the signal comes from rf, using the remote blaster, that the other tv that has the decoder's channel changes too.

Nope. You are confused with SD PVR. HD PVR has only one viewing environment with the second channel only capable of recording.

Believe me bud, there is no way to get four independent viewing environments with only two decoders, and even with two sd pvr decoders, you will still have to pay two subscriptions. This is Multichoice, nothing is free.
