Need help with silent hill:homecoming

When i want to start it it say not enough video memory but my gfx card have 512mb. Why?:confused:
 
Just looking at the general specs for the game and you are short in processor and ram just to start, me thinks you need an upgrade
 
ok. but on my gf's pc it works and its memory is also 1 gb and the gfx card is only 256mb
 
try another gfx card in there and see,,,,just think of something and try it. just do a whole lot of different combinations and you will see something whats wrong
 
what is the spec of the gf's pc, obviously they are not the same and video ram on a gpu does not mean it is a good card ie 256 can easily beat 512 depending on bus
 
Since u do not really give enought info we can't really help just shoot here in the dark.
How much Virtual memory do u have?
 
gf's gfx card is a nvidia 6200 256mb. mine is ati radeon x1650 512mb. I use 2500mb virtual memory
 
silent hill gives me this error: ABORTING build [FINAL] v6.34 Changelist: #663064 Silent Hill: Failed to create pixel shader because we ran out of video memory. Try decreasing the quality settings.
 
list your FULL specs and her FULL specs, how are we supposed to guess what is wrong if you do not help ???
 
your graphics gard is not supported. at the moment only radeon HD series are working check the readme.

Here is your answer. There is nothing u can do except get a new GPU
 
I have a radeon x1650 512mb, 64bit amd 2800 with 1gb ram. Game works on my gf's pc with a gforce 6200 256mb card, 3ghz p4 and 1 gb ram
