cant get to work plays files for 10 seconds and cuts off

tried in my g./f's pc worked fine?


do think its possible for all your pci slots to have a problem

when i uninstall it and restart windows it doesnt detect until i tell it to refresh?


do you think my board is faulty

yep it could be that one of the pci slots are corrupted

yea but ive tried on all em all 5 and nothing same thing

It could just be a problem of compatibility between the card and your motherboard,I know my one friend bought a sound card and when he turned on his pc,it took like 10 min to boot and then when he took it out,it was fine

do you have some other hardware in the PC? try removing/disabling everything that you can, leave just the sound card and then see what happens.

If you have COM/parallel ports onboard and you don't use them, disable them from the BIOS. Also disable the onboard sound card if you have one.

Yeah, I'd say your board is possibly corrupted although have you tried the relevant mobo + sound card driver updates?

Reset your BIOS to defaults. Disable any onboard sound, and then see what happens. Also look for a BIOS update.

did all that still nothing hehe o well rectron must just repleace the board i think
