Need internet!!!!!

I recently moved outta home, me and my bro organised internet for R550 a month for an uncapped 256-512 line. Now before i go for the same offer at my current location, wat else is out there for R550? i can maybe spend more idealy not though....

If you are looking for uncapped, I doubt you will find anything better.

hey guys sorry forgot about this... Yes uncapped for R550 but its a line that gets throttled etc etc but still nice knowing you can dl all the time.

Problem is these guys are slack now and seems they dont want the business so i am still looking... I have seen the same thing at quite a few places but not many in jhb. It uses the same system as the WUG's, where they use a LOS connection to their towers.

Does any body know of anymore places that do these type installs? I know of netwave and emburst. I really need internet

If you read their small print it says the following:

The service is provided for interactive use. However, if programs that maintain a constant & persistent connection to a remote service, or automated programs are used, they must only be used when you are physically present at the computer. These activities include (but are not limited to) automated file downloading, peer-to-peer file sharing applications, UseNet, Rapid Share etc. Un attended mass downloading is not permitted.

And they only offer 12, 24 or 36 months contracts.
If there is one thing that I have learnt from this forum,it is to stay away from any form of contract.

uhhu, did you also see they state only if you take the 36 month contract the monthly payments wont increase. above that, it's R1800 for the modem and a setup fee of R550. might aswell get a month of 4meg adsl for 3 odd grand

now before we chuck anymore bandwidth into the wind talking about emburst. fact remains it's wireless.and shouldn't be mentioned in this 'ADSL ISP Discussion' sub-forum
