Need mathamatical help please...

NOOOO I am not! dag nabit!
how do I get that linear formula in excel?!?!

Trend predictions... fact is it would be more then a linear view by now. but this is the safest rout and would still give me a conservative view of the market would realistically be more... So I have a clue

Not sure, Trend Prediction just using historical data alone should be considered. Especially, if its population, there are variety of other factors that affect the growth of population. If you can get the historical data for the rest of the years, you will see that that there would have been differing growth rates over the years.

You seem to be very confident that this formula would materialise over the coming years as well.

6.6793%

Use the RATE formula in excel: RATE(10,,-6394000,12206000)

The thing is that this is a specific segment within the market and it does show a linear growth pattern, but it also grows exponentially.
So I will assume the linear growth pattern even though the population size might be bigger, In which case it is actually a win for us.
Assuming a small market is better when in reality you will serve a larger market. Al least I believe that.

Thing is, that you have no idea what this represents because of the ambiguity you have of not knowing what I know. so this conversation is irrelevant.

Hmmm... just realised this entire reply to you serves no purpose.

Whatever your scheme is, it's just barely outpacing inflation at the upper end of the reserve bank's inflation target. If this is something longterm, then you might be better off just getting a nice whole-market ETF or inflation linked government bonds.
