Need PAYG data bundle - MTN or VC ?

I need to buy a PAYG data bundle on 1 Aug., and would like to know who is giving the best deal with price and service.

I previously used MTN and paid R399 for 1G and got 1G free. This worked well for me and I will stick with this if the promo is still available even knowing that VC has 2G for R389.

I will be using an HSDPA card in PE.

I use both.

I think VC has the edge as you can purchase a new bundle as soon as the old one expires - you do not have to wait to the end of the month as with MTN.

My advice is to get both and to experiment until you find the one that works best for u - then keep the other sim as a backup.

AFAIK, the following info is still applicable:

This means that a 1 GB data bundle from MTN is back to the original price of R 399-00 per month, far higher than Vodacom’s R 289-00 per GB.

MTN however said that they are currently evaluating their permanent pricing in light of the significant uptake that they had on the offer.
