Have you loaded the correct drives for the screen. From device manager, click on the monitor and do a driver update. Otherwise windows update should pick it up after a while under the optional updates.

Also, did you set your resolution to 1920 x 1080, the native resolution of the screen?

Most screens also have a AUTO button to set the relevant settings.

Why didn't you get a Samsung 23' from Pczone for R1800 or a Acer one for R1600? Makes no sense to spend so much more on an online story if you live in Durban :/

I'm guessing you were at 1360x768 on a 1360x768 monitor and that it's now at 1360x768 on a 1920x1080 monitor. So change your display resolution in Control Panel.

tried to update monitor driver but it said it had the latest one, both screens are at 1920 x 1080,lol my bad:p, because i bought it with ebucks

so i have been using my c7000 tv for my pc puropse lately but i wanted a moniter so i went bought this
http://www.digitalplanet.co.za/p-124421-asus-vs247h-236-wide-screen-led-series-monitor.aspx

and it arrived today,so i hooked it up now,but it looks worse then my samsung tv,so is somthing wrong with it,or did i buy a crap monitor or i might be paranoid :p

Your C7000 is a mid-high end Samsung TV (LCD or plasma?), which would use a panel far superior to the TN panel in 99% of PC LCDs.

If space is not an issue, and you have 90cm - 1m viewing distance, I recommend checking this thread out. http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/346013-Anybody-bought-the-LA32D550

Samsung LA32D550 32" FHD LCD. Uses S-PVA panel. Arguably the best screens on the market locally for PC use.

And the beauty of it, is that they are cheaper than 27" PC LCDs. PVA > IPS > TN. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD#Types

i dont have space for anything bigger then a 24",so even if i swap it with this http://www.digitalplanet.co.za/p-123712-samsung-24-led-monitor.aspx it wont make a differnce?

Nope, that's still TN LCD - just with LED back-lighting.

For a difference you'd need to look at IPS PC screens. LG are cheapest. The cost might not be worth it to you though. Some of the prices are ridiculous.

:(ok,guess ill just stick with it,is the color any better with samusung 350H?

I haven't seen it myself, but it's probably about the same, since TN tech is pretty limited in how good it is. The only specs that would make it better would be IPS panel... Or high static contrast ratio. :/

High end Dell and HP screens, some iMacs, Mac nema Displays, iPhone/iPad etc. use IPS.

Don't let it bother you though. If you can sit front on all the time with a TN LCD, colour isn't too bad.

No doubt IPS/PVA is better, but it's not worth it at 3+ times the price unless you really have cash to burn, or need it for photography/design/colour accuracy, etc. (if you read the Wiki it'll explain the panel types).
