Need some IT advice pls ?

Ok heres the thing i got new pc i installed windows xp sevice pack 3 internet explorer 7 and all the goodies like drivers and stuff.
And of coarse WOW.

And a little program called WCDC to block sertain ports that get attacked by worms.If seertain ports get attacked my 3g dont work this program worked fine on my old pc.

But now i cant connect to internet explorer cant google nothing?

But i can still play WOW that is weird :) ?
Think ill have to format reinstall solves the problem i would if it was not for all
the stuff i dont wanna lose 250 gig i still have to back up.

Explorer gives tells me cant connect to proxy server something like that.

Sorry Boom, I can't help you. But welcome back :)

I would guess you have blocked a certain port that should not be blocked. I might be wrong though:D

I am lvling a hunter from scratch on TH again i was planing to lvl one anyways.
Nick is Rexader if you even go on TH again.

Well i aborted lvling on low pop servers cause most of them its hell to find a group do do dungeons with even a bad group i am talking low lvl dungeons here on Th you just go into LFG and pick people up start group easy on low pop you wait like 1 hour to get going.

i must say i was amazzed at how tuff Bm huntr bear pet is.

I let a pala and a mage same lvl as my pet duel my pet only i did nothing misha (my bear pet) pawned both lol.

She got like 1990 armour and 1345 HP.

Come roll on Spinebreaker, I have a lvl 10 Shaman I'm going to lvl to 70. We can level together :)
 
Well a firewall is designed to block all inbound ports and you open certain outbound ports to connect to internet for your web browsing like port 80 and 443. WoW uses TCP port number 3724 to play and UDP port 3724 for in game Voice chat.

And, get Firefox it has a built in spelling checker!!

Uninstall WCDC, or get a program to reset all your network/internet settings to default.

Ps: I dont care about spelling, I will care if your roll a ally - then there gonna be problems lol

Udp is one of the ports it blocks but i have not seen anything about port 80 and browsing is my main problem.

I got firefox at home :)

Wish i could but WCDC is like a small program i got in zip file no instalatoin was needed and i think even if i do delete it the settings it did will remain.

About that program to reset setting do you know of any?
Something that can reset ports?
 
If internet explorer moans about a proxy go check your network settings in your internet options?

I would have loved to join you dude i already got two lvl 26 and got 100g from a friend to start off with already paid him back herbing and skining=alot of gold :) .

next free migratoin to spinebreaker ill go there.
TH get alot of free migratoins so ill just keep my eyes open :) .
 
I have to add i removed and reinstalled Service pack 3 thougth it was causing it did the same with explorer 7.
