Neighbor's doggy

Would it be acceptable if I take a blanket/bed into the neighbor's yard and put it there for their dog?

The poor thing was freezing this morning and she's not allowed inside the house :(
 
I'd do that and call the SPCA.

The SPCA are a useless bunch. They put down strays WAY to quickly and when you need them to actually do something, they don't.

My parents have neighbours that feed their pets pap with "some" dog food in it. The SPCA didn't do anything about it.

Speak to your neighbour...they need to look after their pet if they wanted it. Imagine sleeping outside in this weather? Why should your pet? And with no blanket/bed...

Not only acceptable, it would be the right thing to do as well.

What type of dog, because if it is a husky....
 
My dogs do not have blankets in their kennels. I use hay. The blankets don't last 1 day with them, They tear it to shreds.

lol, mine used to do that, but luckily stopped. Also stopped buying those cheap dog blankets that looks like recycled under-carpet stuffing stuff.
 
Well, to be honest, they would be completely retarded if they didn't know the dog is freezing. A few months ago the dog went to some family of theirs and about a week or 2 ago she came back. They have a 2-3y/o so I'm guessing that's why they don't let her inside. She's a jack russel. Amazing little doggy that's always excited to see me when I get home. Will take some stuff for her when I get off work, just scared they throw it away or something

I have given my dogs my blankets, I have used dog blankets. They sleep on it during the night and play with it during the day. I would get home at night with pieces of blanket all over the yard. Then I would have to pick it all up in the cold, put it back in their kennels and they would just do the same the next day. The hay works awesome. They don't play with it and it keeps them warm.
 
Just to add to her sad story.

My dad has given her food a few times. She chews the plastic bowls then when my dad goes to see if she has food/water, there is none.

I don't wanna get the SPCA involved because if they put her down, it will be my fault. We also can't take her in because we have 2 dogs of our own and they're not the friendliest
 
The one neighbour we have does this same the past couple of years. It's a little maltese.

Spoke to them about it but they are really stubborn. Problem is the dog then barks alot I assume to keep warm. That said it must be a tough bugger because it survived winter outside when it was a puppy.

I told them lapdog should stay inside. The owner just says she would like me see me pick it up as it will bite me if I try.
The father's view is a dog should know it's place.

SPCA won't do anything because we are sectional title complex. BC just send letters that are ignored.

Poor puppy. Jacks can't handle cold weather. And keeping a dog outside cause you have a kid is a poor excuse. Besides, there is a recent study about kids raised with a dog has a better immune system.

Jack Russells are inside dogs...that is just sad :( Very very selfish of them.
 
There's no excuse for keeping a Jack Russell outside at night. They are definitely not outside dogs. They crave human companionship, and their little bodies can't handle this winter chill. Some people just aren't fit to own dogs.

I have a jack russel and he sleeps outside with my boerboel.
 
I'm a bit biased though, I believe all animals should be inside. Especially in this cold :p

Even the massive dogs. They also deserve warmth
 
What? When I grew up our jack russells slept outside. Only when it was really cold did they sleep in the garage.

And to say they are not outside dogs...they need the space. They definitely aren't "indoor lapdogs"
