NeoConnect Lite Unlimited

Trust me this package is still expensive compared to Do Broadband.
R199 + Phone Rental R130 +- + Openweb R130 Account = R470 per month.

You can get around 40 gigs locally + 3 gigs..
Neotel lite, you can get around 30 GIGS.. Still the most expensive package .

hi everyone,

Is the lite package (156kbps) ok for making calls via skype?

Thanks

not sure... just moved in and looking for options as I work from work at times so need to call in for conference calls. Postnet tell me that the prime package does not cover my area (century city). What do you think would be a better option?

so the Lite package is really R469 a month?
obviously the speed isnt anything special at this price? Is data really uncapped and does it allow p2p .i mean if i was guaranteed say 20kbps download id definetely go for it .but im sure its more like 5 kbps.i checked the site and the coverage in my area is excellent or the highest it can be. i dunno...there must be a catch?

When I first signed up, download speeds were 18kB - 20 kB, that was when I had excellent coverage, My coverage is now shifted into the middle of the street (Yes when I setup my laptop in the middle of the main road I get fantastic results, just not when I go back into my house)
Not sure what the other NeoConnect Lite users get but I max out a 4-6kB now and have been complaining for more than half the year without a solution ;)

Really sucks when you are paying R469/month and are only using 1-2 gigs of b/w .. I used to average 10 gigs+, so right now thats a game of russian roulette getting Lite Unlimited..

lol Kasbah
so please tell me mate is it really 469 a month? no catch or start up fees? it says device fee included.im just curious why thousands of ppl arent going or taking a chance on this? you say youve complained....what did you complain about exactly.the speed? It would be awesome if there were like thousands of complaints and they sort the speed out for lite package...i would jump on ship. how long did your 18-20 kb speed last? and while it did last did you feel you were getting an awesome deal :P

This is what I do. Works out cheaper, and if so inclined, you can add another R130 30GB bundle. Or two:D

running 24/7 on a 384k line you can get around a 100GB:cool: Mweb used to have unlimited local for R200- those were the days...

Matt, if you love telkom  this is the best route. I can download a movie or two a day, so I have choice. Having to wait two days for every movie would kill me. (movies interchangeble with 2x series;))

18-20 Kb was for the first 4-5 months and yes I was very satisified, was able to download basically a gig/day while browsing, 23rd today and only downloaded 1.26 Gigs :o
