NeoFlex release date???

I'm so sick of this waiting, why couldn't they have just released the device to be used on the current packages? It's not like anyone makes use of their 1000 free on net minutes anyways... I'm sure I'm not the only one that would have paid the same rates for data only in the mean time.

Please we need an operator that's not from a backwards 3rd world country! Icasa awards 3rd fixed license to Nigerian Telco... :sick:

Guys how can you complain about something you never had before? Seriously, think about the product if were released to the public already and it did not work properly what would you be saying then? They suck! They are pathetic...etc.

New kids on the block will always crawl before they walk - otherwise they will not walk at all!

Even the products that have been tested, doesn't seem to work. In my personal opinion, Neotel has been very unprofessional in the way it handles itself in most aspects of the game.
 
I suppose its beginners luck - pretty much like how iBurst started out a few years ago...give the network time to mature i think and it will be quite a good network.

and customer service? do we need to wait for them to mature... or what about the website to let the consumers know what is going on? Suppose, wait for that to mature as well.

Neotel had so much time to get their ducks in a row, much longer than iBurst. They also had a much bigger budget... but yet they put themselves in the same class as iBurst... shame!
 
I think not @ so much time...if you remember correctly Neotel only introduced their comsumer business unit in august last year...
 
why should we always get tortured like this? Me wonders if it's better to just wait until 10GB HSDPA for R199 to R399 /mo and ride 7.2MBps internet anywhere for one single cost

June is said to lower the internet prices by 5 to 10 times

Thats what they say, but we know how the good old telkoms in SA is like... they will come up with some excuse not to lower it....

eish...da peoples are steeeling da air waves... ellgal connection. we kant do it.

sunsoffun - I don't have all the details of what they were doing before that but from experience setting up a network and rolling it out is no childsplay!

MTN had worse issues to deal with when they rolled out Nigeria and it took about 2 years to fix many issues before the consumer had any joy and the network became stable / mature.

I think though that if you look @ the shareholders influence @ Neotel, they are not doing many things they way SAfricans are used to - they are applying some of their global learnings here therefore it may seem weird / different.
Yes they are not the quickest to market etc but they do offer value for money.
As each network matures, so does the customer service and the staff employed.

Staff employed have to be BEE etc and sometimes it takes a long longer for those that were never exposed to different technologies to cope.

I do like your last comment though - typical of the new government!
 
I dont think they will have a upgrade option, i asked the sales guy and if i remember correctly he said no, thats why he said it would be better if i waited before ordering it.
 
So badly wanted Neotel and am on my last 10mbs of V3g.
It really sucks that i have to pay R390 for another 2gig bundle.
As i stare at my empty beer can i realise my wallet will suffer the same fate.....'SIGH'
