My Samsung Tab3 battery diead after 5 years good service..
Now comes the debate.
Do i buy another one?
Do i buy a NeonIQ? (R1500 for a 10" and 7" Wifi)
Telefunkun has been deemed a disaster on the forum already...
Looking in the R1500 range, but samsung is R2000 about i know.
Prefer one that can take a simcard so i can use it for Whatsapp..

Any other suggestions?
 
This may have been discussed already but the tablet market is dreary in SA. Even the Samsung ones are rubbish, they seem to have dumped all their old stock here. If you spend R2k on a tablet, it'll almost certainly be worse than a R2k smartphone.

It's basically just iPads that are worth having, or if you can get hold of one of the high-end Samsungs, but they're quite expensive.

You may have better luck trying banggood.com or gearbest.com, but even then, globally tablets haven't done as well as smartphones in terms of getting capable hardware at an affordable price.

The only one that I'd really consider is a Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, I think there is a SIM version, but IIRC it costs about double what your budget is.

I like the tablet for my games.
There is a mecer tablet, but cannot really find it around though..
Cell C has a Samsung tab, but like you said, the quality is not what is once was
