Neotel CDMA Towers

Sorry to burst your bubble but the stuff you see on that tower is microwave backhaul equipment. The CDMA kit that you'll see on the towers looks pretty much the same as any of the GSM and 3G equipment. You probably not going to be able to tell the difference unless you see little men in orange suits installing it :p

The CDMA towers are expected to be similar in size (or even more visible/larger) than the original gsm900 towers. Those pretend palm tree beasts.

Those look like directional microwave antennaes that Telkom use to use, before they pulled them down, the old analogue SEL and STC kit before the advent of the digital age. If you look at Vodacom 900Mhz antennaes, they use sector antennaes or some of them are omni-directional type antennaes. Sorry see my comments confirmed, did not read page 2
