Hi guys,

Just spent the last few days in and out of meetings and doing research to upgrade our internet lines... the extent went from Diginet lines, WiMAX, Microwave, Fiber, MetroFiber and MetroEthernet... now most of the praposals came in at about 17k - 20K pm running over a MPLS network with firewalls multiple DMZ's and multiple break-out points for different servers and services on our network...

I got a proposal from Neotel for a microwave connection to our office with a 10 voice channels (SIP) and a 5mbps up and down, 5 static IP's uncapped connection for internet... The Microwave connection has and 99.5% uptime SLA on it, which seems to be the best option as you dont get an SLA for the internet connection because its a "best effort service" but since you get an SLA on the microwave connection, its covering your internet connection... and the best part is that for voice and internet and the whole shabange, its only 7k pm...

you guys got any thoughts or opinions?

I'm no expert but 99.999% of what I heard of Neotel is negative.

alot of people on their business packages and said only good things about them, talking to account managers and project managers within IS, eNetworks, Altech ALL say that that Neotel business offerings are very good, its just getting the ball rolling with them thats the problem...

And all that is currently changing...with the new CEO came improvements to get new services / upgrades done fast and efficiently...

I have heard that he reviews all orders on a weekly basis himself to ensure the customer gets what he ordered in the time specified and within the companies control.
