Neotel launches new/revised broadband offering

R99 for 500MB?

Keep chasing Ajay, you almost caught the pink dragon.

EDIT: No mention of speeds? ( actually dont bother, no one would be THAT stupid to join Neostrond again )

Way to go Ajay, another lame attempt to provide "competition".

Neotel is like Volkswagen competing against Lamborghini by adding an extra spare wheel to all citi golfs

THANK YOU COME AGAIN :)

Full details to follow soon - just waiting for Neotel to send through the product sheets.

How about you stop labeling these jokes as "broadband"?

That article is a complete flip to what Neotel were saying just a few months ago (about not caring for the consumer market). I won't be surprised if their "revised" offerings are nothing more than FAIL.

Lol if its anything like Neotel, you will only get the info after a week or so. Otherwise, get a reference number and email them constantly ( this will get you multiple reference numbers ). When you phone them to ask about the info, the call center peanut probably wont know what you are talking about and will say you must find the info some other way coz the problem is on your side :D

YAP YAP YAP, MY PUPPY DOSENT YAP THE WAY YOU DO, SHUT UP NOTEL, GO LOOK ON HELLOPETER AND SEE WHAT PPL HAVE GO TO SAY ABOUT YOUR RUBBISH COMPANY , INCOMPETENT IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neotel may as well be a foreign company for all I care, I couldn't ask them for service if I wanted to since they don't exist in most of the country.

Would anyone would pick this versus the Cell C offering? Just can't see it happening.

They may fool a few ignorant Oumas and Oupas into buying this but I can't see them gaining any significant market share with this offering.

lol... 2 years later and they woke up.
i must admit, i was one of the dreamers who believed the marketing rubbish neotel spewed forth... i got a neo-useless connection, data only, 5gb a month. it has been rubbish. i even tried dial up with my laptop and got better performance. i've had endless issues with dns which periodically disappears, when you call the helpdesk, you get nothing. they don't know what the problem is, that there is even a problem, and they've never called back.
i've written to them 3 times asking for clarification on how to terminate the rubbish service, they still haven't replied!!!!!

seriously, how do these ****ers sleep at night?

you can't offer a crap service like this with poor speed, no support, and no response, and still run around claiming to be the best thing since sliced bread!!

i quietly reactivated my adsl, and am quietly enjoying real broadband on saix unshaped, which is cheaper, faster, and more reliable than the useless neo-rubbish.

go back to wherever you came from neo-losers, we were better off without you!

/boodah
ps - if anyone knows how to terminate this crap service let me know.

“Neotel takes its commitments to the consumer market extremely seriously,” says Neotel MD and CEO Ajay Pandey.

Isn't that just the biggest joke you've ever heard? Ajay Pandey, please shut your trap until you have something more useful to say.

If their NeoGo product isn't improved inline with what Cell C is currently offering, then it will be an absolute fail.

Dear Neotel.

Just wanted to say I am no longer waiting for the call you would have given me in January 2009 to confirm coverage in my area.
Remember? I called you in two years ago in October 2008 and you said you'd call me back in 3 months time.
Anyways, the reason I am not waiting for you to call me back is I am now with Telkom.
Yes, they actually called me back a few hours after I first contacted them and within less than a month I had 4megabit uncapped internet.

Would you please also tell the telemarketers to whom you sold my number to stop calling me as well.

Good luck and stop sucking d-balls,
Rouxenator.

I'm a Neotel customer (waiting for Cell C). When I saw this story here and on Tech Central, I thought, at last, one of the players has reacted to Cell C's pricing. I visited their website and looked at Media Releases. Er, nothing about this new approach!

I emailed the ever reliable Hugo Troskie (Mr Neotel for me), asking for confirmation that my Prime 5G = R506 was unchanged, and he confirmed it. Disappointed doesn't cover it!

I don't know which consumer Mr Panday is after, but he either takes me for granted or doesn't care.

Looks like I'm still heading for the exit marked Cell C.

When will these morons learn... Fixed wireless has to be cheaper to have a value proposition. They are still sitting on R499 for 5 gigs and some nebulous neotel to neotel call benefit.
