We often come here to complain but there are times we need to compliment as well. I canceled my ADSL for The Whooosh and ported my teslcum no to Neotel. I am on the R99 package where you get R50 credit. SO has spend over 3 hours on it and with the R50 credit the cost of the calls was R7.

The voice quality is good. If you walk around with device the voice seems to break up at times but perfect when device is on the table. I have not tested the internet part and I don't think I am going to bother with it.

The only problem I have is that I don't know anyone with neotel so I don't benefit with the free on network calls after 6 and weekends.

+1 . I did the exact same thing.

I'm very happy with Neotel's service so far. I just hope they don't make a mess of my bill at the end of the month :)

Avoid the billing mess by getting prepaid. If on contract, then endure the term of the contract, cancel well in advance (to avoid auto retrigger of contract another two years), then convert to prepaid - then you don't need a another device - the two weeks of trouble achieving is all worth is once one is on prepaid. No billing issues, and you can buy airtime at a reasonable amount of places. Or online. It does work!
