Neotel price reductions here next week

I wouldn't take too much notice of the rates for 2012, 2013 etc. I doubt this company will still be operating then.

nothing to see here ... move along please .. dead man walking ... we got a dead man walking here .... dead man walking ....

Neotel will be lucky if they still operating next week, never mind next year ... and they deserve it ..

How About instead of giving Price cuts, upgrade the infrastructure and service. I think there is a lot of people who would pay few pennies more if u get better service than a company that u pay those few pennies less.

Only way to get rid of this horrible South African internet/phone infrastructure is moving to Europe.

I see the comments are not positive, but I think this is a good development. Not many of the other players have committed to price cuts which makes Neotel's decision even more positive.

Price cuts for data on their CDMA service is long overdue.

First?

I think Neotel is the first to announce this in view of the upcoming interconnect rate drops. I have not seen other voice terminators make any moves to do this yet. Neotel might be slightly cheaper than any of the others until the others make a move. These providers are always slow to pass their rate updates to customers.

They can still win people Improve data speeds and reduce data prices

Agreed R80 per gig of data is archaic. I am one of the few who is getting decent speeds on CDMA service. However R500 for 5gig then R80 per gig after is ludicrous, especially as they are part owners of Seacom. Neotel if you are listening, try matching your data costs to the ADSL providers you are selling Seacom bandwidth to. Pretty please?

Neofail was geared up to being a competitor in the fixed line market. Their attempts to provide competition has been a huge failure, a turn-around strategy has to be implemented immediately or this company will be out of business.

"YAWN" who needs voice line cuts, Give us better internet instead.

Are you joking? We have some of the highest voice prices in the world still, and they still make up a large proportion of the cost of telecoms for most companies. Even as an individual, I bet you still pay way too much for voice (fixed and mobile) every month, compared to Internet.

Meh,

NEOTEL:

Here buy my product its cheaper. Features: No customer service, no usable product, a billing department that will hand you over for money you don't owe, clueless call center agents (for when you do actually get thru) and BEST OF ALL: when the crap really hits the fan we will just take our call center OFF-LINE! FOR DAYS! And as an added bonus we will ignore your emails FOREVER!

Why use us? Because we're cheaper now....
