I have a few questions regarding neotel

1: Is it just me or does neotel shape your internet connection at the end of the month?
And does neotel shape your internet connection (uncapped) when you download a certain amount of data?

2: Does bad weather affect the service in any way? Recently with the rain and lightning I've been experiencing bad service, strangely enough this has never happened before.

3: How many times on average do you get disconnected in one day?

4: How many times on average does it take reconnect once disconnected?
It takes me like 3 tries

5: Does anybody else find the battery alerts on the neoconnect phone annoying?

6: How many times on average have you thought of cancelling?

I just have to add this here: One of the most annoying things is the unstable speeds, one moment its fast the other its like dial-up has been resurrected.

shaping...?

Neotel doesnt have our usage tracker done and doesnt have the tech toys to shape.

1. No shaping technology available, so we don't

2. Yes, weather has an affect on your connection strength, much the same as mobile network operators

3. Shouldn't. But alot of guys on here have been posting their disconnection times which i forward to NOC

4. Dependant (again, should be on first try), device can be factor

5. .............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

6. Not once, but everyone for themselves and their opinions.

5. Take the battery out :) You can run the device without the battery, my battery sits ontop of the device.

I don't use the device for the phone feature, so when the PC goes of, the device can well go off as well.

Yep did the same thing.
My handset has been taped to the phone most of the year because of the akward positions I had to maneuver to get decent signal before getting the antenna.

Problem now is "someone" has leaked my number and I get the occassional phone call which murpheys law disrupts my connection when I need it most.

Does anyone know of the code to disable incoming calls on the Lite Device Please ?

On Topic:
I do not experience any shaping on the Lite Uncapped Package and am getting my average 17kB down (using uTorrent, html etc.) which is perfectly normal.
Thank you for the Good Service and Reliability over the last few weeks Neotel, Keep it up.

1: Seems that way to me to. But I'm on 5 Gb/month and it usually start after i'm over my limit.

2: ... Same as Hugo

3: Average 5 times in ~10 hours. On good days not once. Worse day i have had was with a disconnect every 30 min or so.

4: 3 times, every time. First time i get a username/password is not valid error. 2'de time i get a port is not open error. 3'de time it connects.

5: Very annoying. I can't take out my battery because i actually use the phone for day to day calls.

6: None. On average I am content with my Neotel connection and since i can't get ADSL it is the best offer i have. Tho i have contemplated switching from Prime to NeoFlex

Here is a speedtest i did today. This is below what i averagely get

Noted that i am currently over my cap and it is the end of the month. Will do another one tomorrow and post the results.
