South African consumers are sick and tired of the telecoms BS. We've had enough from Doc, ICASA and Telkom as it is, we don't need it for Neotel aswell

All i need is like a 30gig international like back in the old days.. That was great, it worked out perfectly for me.. And it should include uncapped local.. Like the old days.. Only difference is that local and international data should count as separate things..

Then i will be happy.. The line speeds we get now are perfect.. The price is sh%t. The cap is sh%t...

This is the problem I have with Neotel. I do agree with sta30 that we should give them a fair chance, but how many chances should they get, and then how long should we leave that window of opprtunity open for?

We have all heard the stories about what they possibly will be offering. NOW is the time to do it!

Who wants to take a bet with me for a R1000 bucks that Neotel will NOT launch broadband commercially for the residential market this year? From what I know only a trial will start 2nd half of this year.

Neotel has all my faith imparted on them. As far as I'm concerned Neotel has still done more in 3 years than Telkom has done in 10.

Granted, the short-term delay sucks, there's no doubt about that, but in the long-term (I can hear teeth grinding from here) it'll be worth it and everyone in SA will reap the rewards.

Have you ever heard any other Telkom representative speak like that? Telkom who has more money than any company in South Africa, Telkom that's been ripping us all off for DECADES and still haven't evolved beyond that single-celled organism known as Ivy.

Yes, Neotel is taking a while, but remember, they said that their services (originally) would be available to everyone in June/July, and while not EVERYONE has their services, they have trials in effect from May already which caters to some people at least.

Have faith, Neotel might be moving a little slower than we all had hoped, but they still are moving, and they're still discussing and planning and making changes for the betterment of us all, internet users and non-internet users. Neotel will be the best thing that ever happened to our economy.

Just have faith Don't let Telkom have rid us of that too.
