Neotel snoop

In SA one needs to be able to choose between the lesser of the many evils. (And pay handsomely for it! Medical, Security, Education and Yes. Broadband as well) Otherwise we would've had cheap cars as well by now. Instead people are being ripped off, but every month cars sales are still going up. If everyone decided to stop buying cars for two or three months what would happen? Will it make a difference?

I don't think so. Since everyone wants a BMW or Merc. And if your car is written off or stolen you need one to get to work. So we'll always be screwed. Since there will always be a car sold somewhere is SA on every given day.

Internet is something one can be without for a while without it affecting your life. Actually fresh air apparently is healthy for you! (Will try it out some day.)

If Neotel can't get the client base they need they will be force to drop prices or close the business. I won't change over to Neotel just to spite Telkom. In the end it's all about the price you pay for what you get. In my case I can barely afford broadband on 13gig's a month. And many can only afford 3 gigs. So if Neotel or anyone else can provide a similar service at a better price they will get my business. My ADSL account is providing to my needs and I will also not be suckered into a cheaper service that might prove unstable (Like 3G) or with an expansive initial layout (I-Burst) or something that could go the same route as the Do Do (Satellite)

(Rambling on and on and on and on ....)

Only Time Will Tell. (And by that it won't be that long for the change. (This time next year I hope!))

I agree, it's pointless changing to Neotel just to spite Telkom...the whole reason for Neotel's existence is to get this industry right when it comes to price..also why are people still talking about 3 gigs and Neotel in the same sentence, we should all be expecting uncapped unshaped stuff and if thats not what we get in April next year then its gonna be time to riot..

Totally Agree!!

I don't think uncapped will ever become the standard product. In a sense Telkom is helping small ISP's to generate more money by having us to buy extra data when we're capped from them or they score when we don't use it up. I've heard that overseas models are moving to a capped basis. I just feel 3 Gig is too little. The basic cap should've been at least 5Gigs.

if neotel cant bring cheap uncapped internet to SA who will?

whats their cap, like 100gigs?

Well Ireland had a cap of 400 gigs for a few months last year...but they soon came to their senses and offered uncapped.

I hoped it would be Goal.

Yeah I havent heard from Goal in quite a while...these companies seriously need a good kick up the ass to get them into gear...always making promises and never keeping them. We should all have a Red Bull for breakfast so that we have energy the whole day to put these useless telcos in their place if they don't deliver good service..

Well. My one friend lives in Italy. He's on UMTS (3G) with a 9 Gig cap as I understand. He pays about R230 (23 Euro) for that! But he complains as well. At night it's slow going.

so saffa you start a thread talking about how neotel is offering all this awesome shyte for ONLY R200 a month, you keep giving vague details using a "reliable source" as the fallback, then 3/4's way through you mention that they still charging for usage, then we dont hear another peep out of you for 3 pages of the thread... rofl.. gimme a break...

waiting............
