Is it truly uncapped or are there restrictions

We need for backup off site and looking at 100 GB + per month.

If you need to upload data from site A to site B then forget it. 60kbps uploads is what you'll get with Neoconnect Prime. If your company data is already in cyberspace and you only want to download it to your backup site then everything is AOK. Just make sure you test the quality of your coverage first before signing anything.

Do you think it is possible to get 100 GB on this uncapped solution per month ?

Thanks

hmm i see it's R999 pm ... you think it will come down anytime soon ???

All hail Seacom! Since the arrival, prices are supposed to have gone down, or caps up.

For an uncapped solution, you could hope for either an increase in speed (eps upload, WTF?) or a decrease in price. Faster speeds are more likely, though if these will be advertised ot just go back to what they were always supposed to have been is anyones guess.

Don't hold your breath;) When one of these changes has occured, I will strongly consider joining Neotel. :erm:

How about some 5Ghz antennae?

Are the locations line of sight? if you are lucky enough to be in that situation, hook up some wireless antennae - it'll set u back about R1300 per antenna ex vat (i don't know exact prices - contact a dealer for those), and you can get over 20KM range between sites.

no monthly fees - reliable connection - uncapped.

Is it legal...don't you have to get some sort of licence ?

5GHz is an unlicensed band. U are just using it for backups (extension of your LAN), not sharing internet or charging anyone for a service, so i'm pretty sure it's legal. That's what the WUGs use (wireless user groups).

Check it out with a provider like poynting (http://www.poyntingdirect.co.za/).
